Master, I have a lot of food cooked if you would like to come over and eat some of it with me.

_{[ He would be sweating and acting a little nervous, but Laios has gone through.. a lot, so he's been becoming a lot more bold. ]}

It's all meat from the black market. I figured a dragon would like something from there.

_{[ He got into some trouble trying to get everything he ended up with. ]}

Roasted Yama-Kujira drizzled in an apple sweet sauce, coconut crab cocktail, grilled Alitta Virens satay with peanut sauce, artificial rice, red wine imported from Europe.

Present me mine meal, servant. [ he appears as he always does through a portal. ]

<sub>[ Since they are still in Kyoto (I think?) Laios has taken a liking to the yukata that they were given here, so that’s what he is wearing.

He does jump a bit and help when Aodh just.. appears like that in his room. ]</sub>

It’s not the proper door to use.

_{[ There’s a big sigh, but he can’t stay too irritated. He’s known Aodh for a good long while now, but everytime he ends up in his presence, Laios gets all flustered. He can’t really explain it. ]}

A.. anyway. There you go.

_{[ Upon further observation, it looks like he got a black eye and some minor bruises, but not anything that he can’t deal with later. The meal is prepared at a floor table and Laios takes a seat. ]}

Thanks for coming over. I haven’t been talking to people much so it’s been a bit lonely.

Why have you been sequestering yourself away? Did you get into a fight with your friends? [ taking a seat at the table, he picks up his utensil as he skims over the various dishes. ] Or is it because Kabru is gone?

<sub>[ Laios isn’t sure what he was expecting, but for some reason, Aodh bringing up Kabru catches him a bit off guard.

He also looks over the food, avoiding eye contact. He’s not really talked to anybody about Kabru disappearing. ]</sub>

W.. well yeah! That would make anyone kind of sad, right? First Marcille, and now Kabru.. I think I have friends here but I am not always entirely sure.

<sub>[ He thought Toshirou was his friend back home but that.. happened to not be the case, so he never knows anymore.

Laios goes straight for the boar meat. ]</sub>

The more I stay here, the more I miss being back home on the dungeon. This isn’t the right era or environment for me. Do you feel like that sometimes?

But Kabru wasn't only your friend. He was your partner. [ a little different from just a friend, laios. ]

It is normal and okay to feel pain from the loss. You need not repress it. [ he goes for the roasted boar as well, shoveling a piece into his mouth and chewing on it thoughtfully. delectable. he is going to take more, before he responds rather apathetically. ]

This world makes no difference to me than any of the others I've lived on. I lack a home like you do, so I can't say I understand what you're feeling. However, I suppose it makes sense that you would want to return. To reunite with those you know who are not here.

_{[ He can't help but feel a little bit of pride when Aodh goes for the boar meat and seems satisfied. Though, he's finding out more and more about this guy each time they have a discussion like this. Laios envies him, terribly so, but sometimes when he talks he sounds so lonely. It might have to do with his instinctive desire to find a companion. ]}

You don't have a place that you just kind of.. hang out at?

[ he doesn't mind divulging the particulars of his life, but he isn't in a rush to share either, so he tastes the grilled alitta virens next. ]

The multiverse is endless. As time passes and worlds change alongside it, so do I in my travels. I will occasionally revisit some, but never for long.

[ most of them are simply planets that house his boundless treasures. ]

<sub>[ Laios’s eyes follow Aodh’s motions as he reaches for the next part of the meal to try, a small smile appearing on his face briefly before Aodh speaks and catches his fullest attention. He really is so mysterious, and Laios wonders what kind of life that could be like. He was a wanderer for the longest time— from trying to fit in various places in his life. The dungeon was the best place for him to feel at home. Maybe Aodh will finally find somewhere he can call home too— if he wanted that. Maybe he likes traveling so much.

Quiet for a moment, Laios stammers in his speech just a little. ]</sub>

If there’s somehow a way, c.. could I travel with you sometime?

[ perhaps, one day he will find a home. but that day would only arrive once his search for his mate ends.

his gaze finally pulls away from the food, lifting up to look at laios. ]

Do you mean within the extent of this world or beyond?

It doesn’t matter to me. As much as I miss the dungeon, I wonder if there’s another place out there where I could fit in again… in this realm or somewhere new.

_{[ Laios rubs the back of his neck, his cheeks still lingering pink. ]}

I.. like your company, and serving you. I was prophesied to become a king back in my world, but the thought of baring such a responsibility makes me sick to my stomach.

You would forfeit becoming a king to continue being mine servant, human?

[ how amusing. ]

Very well. I shall permit you to accompany me in mine future travels.

<sub>[ Laios doesn’t want to be king. Not really, at least. He would do it if he had no other option, but the thought of it makes him unsure.
